Terms of Service
Last updated: May 15, 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using TrySAT (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and Account
The Service is intended for users 13 years of age or older. You may not create an account if you are under 13. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms on your behalf.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activity under your account. Notify us promptly at legal@trysat.com of any unauthorized use.
3. Subscription, Billing, and Refunds
TrySAT offers free and paid (“Pro”) tiers. Pro subscriptions are billed by Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly, quarterly, or annual) at the price disclosed at signup. By subscribing, you authorize automatic renewal at the same interval until cancelled.
You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods except where required by law. Disputed charges should be reported to legal@trysat.com within 30 days.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate any law or third-party right;
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute TrySAT’s questions, explanations, or other content without written permission;
- Share your account credentials or resell access to the Service;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the underlying source code;
- Use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm any person;
- Interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the Service.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all questions, explanations, code, designs, and trademarks (collectively “TrySAT Content”), is owned by TrySAT and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use TrySAT Content solely for your own study.
Third-party trademarks. SAT® is a registered trademark of College Board. TrySAT is an independent study platform and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by College Board. References to the SAT on TrySAT are nominative — used solely to describe the test that the Service helps you prepare for.
6. AI-Generated Content
TrySAT uses large language models from third-party providers (currently Anthropic and OpenAI) to generate practice questions, explanations, and coaching messages. AI-generated content can contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. TrySAT makes no warranty that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. You should not rely on the Service as a substitute for professional educational, medical, or legal advice.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT YOUR SAT SCORE WILL IMPROVE. TrySAT does not guarantee any particular score outcome.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TrySAT AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TrySAT IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (b) $100 USD.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or for any lawful reason. Upon termination, the license in Section 5 ends and you must stop using the Service.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the Service or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
