An SAT® coach that learns
how you think

Most apps tell you what to study. Vera figures out why you keep losing those points — then coaches you from there.

Why TrySAT is different

Most SAT® apps drill questions.
Vera coaches a person.

01 / Personal

She knows you, not just your scores

After a few sessions Vera knows whether you rush, overthink, second-guess, or avoid hard topics. Her coaching changes based on which one you are.

“You know vertex form. You’re rushing it. Today: same questions, but write every step.”
02 / Honest

Real progress, not vanity metrics

Your projected score is a range, and it moves after every session. Topic mastery decays when you stop practising, so the number falls on its own rather than sitting where you left it.

“Quadratics is slipping. Put it to the test in the next few days or you’ll be relearning it instead of keeping it.”
03 / Built right

AI-written, AI-checked, built to the SAT® spec

One model writes each question and a second model reviews it. The reviewer is shown the answer key and the written solution, so it checks the work rather than deriving the answer independently. Only questions the review pass cleared are served. Written to the published Digital SAT® specification — the topics, question types and difficulty range the real test uses.

“No human reviews these questions, and none has been checked against a real College Board item — so we haven’t measured how often the process errs. Once you’re signed in, every question has a flag button.”
Behavioral analytics

Vera’s understanding of you,
described, not scored.

After every session Vera updates her model of how you practise — pacing, retention, error patterns, and how well your stated confidence predicts your results. She tells you what she has noticed in words. The chart below illustrates the six things she watches; the product shows you no percentage for any of them, by design.

What Vera watches
Execution error patterns
Where solutions break down
Pacing under time pressure
Speed-accuracy tradeoff under pressure
Confidence-accuracy alignment
How well stated confidence predicts results
Engagement consistency
Practice rhythm and persistence patterns
Concept retention curve
Speed of learning vs forgetting per topic
Test confidence baseline
Anxiety calibration and pressure response

Vera describes what she notices in words. She does not score you on any of these.

How it works

From stranger to coached student
in three steps.

01
16-question diagnostic

8 Math + 8 Reading & Writing questions. Vera estimates your score range, identifies your biggest gap, and writes a daily plan. No signup needed.

02
Daily focused practice

Three things every day: one Math drill, one R&W drill, and a mixed set that interleaves topics you have already cleared so they stay cleared. Vera picks each one based on what you actually need that day — not a generic curriculum.

03
Coaching that gets sharper

As Vera builds her model of you, her coaching gets more specific — she starts out hedging what she has noticed, and once she has enough sessions to back a theory she names the pattern outright and tells you what to do about it.

over 3,000
Practice questions, AI-written and AI-checked
44
SAT® topics covered end-to-end
5
Difficulty levels per topic, every one populated
For parents

See what your teen actually knows.
Without nagging.

01
Parent dashboard

Questions answered this week, projected SAT® score as a range, hours practised, and topic mastery — current every time you open it. No screenshots to ask for.

02
Mastery that decays

Topics fade when they go unpractised, and the dashboard’s mastery figures fall with them rather than holding at a past best. What you see is where your teen stands today.

03
Weekly Vera update

Every week, Vera writes a short plain-English summary of how the week went and what to focus on next. Delivered to the dashboard, not your inbox.

Parent access is included with every plan. Your teen invites you from their Account page after signup — you get a private link to their dashboard, no separate purchase.

Common questions

What parents and students
usually ask.

Is the content actually accurate, or just AI-generated?+
One model writes each question and a second model reviews it. The reviewer is shown the answer key and the written solution, so it is checking the work rather than deriving the answer independently; on about a third of the bank — the hardest questions — the writer and the reviewer are the same model. Only questions the review pass cleared are served. No human and no official College Board item has been compared against any question here, so how often the process errs is unmeasured. Questions follow the published Digital SAT® specification. TrySAT is not a College Board product and is not affiliated with the College Board. Once you're signed in, every question has a flag button if one looks off.
How is this different from Khan Academy?+
Khan Academy is a great free resource for content review. TrySAT is a coach. Khan tells you "here is a video on quadratics." Vera tells you "you understand quadratics — you just stop one step early when fractions appear. Today's drill targets that specific pattern." That difference is the whole product.
Can parents see what their child is doing?+
Yes. Every account includes a parent dashboard showing hours practised, score progression, areas of focus, and Vera's plain-English assessment of how the student is tracking against their target. It is current every time you open it, and nothing is emailed to you. Students control which adults can see what.
Do you guarantee a score improvement?+
No. We're in private beta and gathering real outcome data before making any claim about score movement. What we can tell you today is that the product is free while the beta lasts, there is nothing to buy, and we will say so clearly before that changes. If Vera's coaching isn't moving your score after a month of consistent practice, we'd rather you leave than stay frustrated.
How much practice does Vera expect?+
The daily plan is three short pieces of work, and the free tier covers three practice sessions a week. Vera chooses what you do from your weakest high-value topics and how long you have until your test. She does not estimate hours remaining — we have no outcome data to calibrate that against yet. No grinding for grinding's sake.
What if I'm a high scorer already?+
Vera works from your weakest high-value topics, so when coverage is already broad the plan spends its time on the gaps that are left. Topics you have cleared move into a mixed review set rather than leaving the rotation, which is the part that matters most at the top of the range — the last 100 points are mostly retention.
